Professor Dr. John B. Hall (Portland State University) is a prominent figure in institutional economics. Educated at the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research, Dr. Hall’s academic lineage traces back to the rich traditions of institutional economics, evolutionary theory, and comparative systems analysis. His work is deeply rooted in the legacy of Thorstein Veblen.
John Hall has been supporting the development of CBD since 2007. John nominated the CBD Hypothesis for the AFIT Award in 2010, which CBD won. He has been organising joint special sessions at the EAEPE annual conference with CBD-author Annie Tubadji on advancements in evolutionary methods since 2016.
