Joint ISQOLS & PASCAL Learning Cities Network -Webinar, 15 March 2024
In Max Weber's footprints, CBD follows his relevance into the future realities of AI:
How is religion and its importance for development of cities relevant in our age of Artificial Intelligence? As the Coordinator of The PASCAL Learning Cities Network (LCN), Faith and Spirituality-based Learning City Development, and Vice President of the International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies (ISQOLS), Annie Tubadji organised a webinar by Swansea University and in partnership with Glasgow University. It was an open-access WEBINAR on the challenges and opportunities for using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in spiritual instruction. Can AI ensure moral flourishing, learning, and well-being in our cities?
The round table of the WEBINAR offered three expert interventions followed by a Q&A session. The contributors of the discussion were:
Haoran Huang (AI expert, Accenture, London, UK) – how does AI learn to decide and advise morally?
Revd Terry Hemming (Retired Priest, Church of England, Andover, UK) – how do people advise morally?
Brandon Vaidyanathan (Catholic University, Washington, USA) – how religion matters for a learning city
