🎓 At SES26, I presented my work on the Market for Values, illustrated through the case of the Iranian Revolution, exploring how values circulate, concentrate, and transform economic and social systems.
For me personally, the highlight of the conference was meeting Professor Jeffrey Wooldridge in person. For years, like so many others, I learned econometrics from his textbook - work that shaped how I think, research, and teach, and that ultimately changed my life. Meeting the world’s finest teacher of econometrics, whose clarity and intellectual generosity have enlightened generations, was a long-dreamed-of moment and a profound joy.
Much of the research by colleagues was also vastly interesting. Especially novel work on charitable networks, featured below. Kudos!
