CIPHERS
CIPHERS is a senior-level international research group to further dialogue between researchers in complexity and those working in historical and cultural analysis, such as archaeologists, historians, anthropologists, art historians, political scientists, and cultural economists. This aims, through a combination of online lectures and seminars - and occasionally face-to-face events - to bring together cutting-edge research on the relationship between information flows, culture and the complex dynamics of human systems to explore the multi-scalar dynamics of political, cultural and economic transformation in the past and present. It offers an open forum for the presentation of new thinking and data-based analysis bridging the humanities, social sciences and sciences, to investigate beliefs, narratives, cultures, processes and structures facilitating and inhibiting peace, and ethical growth, and combining the integration of long-term historical and contemporary world perspectives on ongoing global development.
