🎓 CBD Book Roundtable at Taliesin Arts Centre – A Special Event for Swansea University Students
On 16th October 2025, The Taliesin Arts Centre (Mall Hall) hosts a vibrant multidisciplinary roundtable discussion to celebrate the launch of the new book on the Culture-Based Development (CBD) paradigm by Dr. Annie Tubadji.
The event features two distinguished speakers:
Dr. Dani Nehring, Sociologist, who explores the cultural and social dimensions of the CBD framework
Prof. Nigel O’Leary, Economist, who provides insights into the empirical and theoretical innovations introduced in the book
They are expected to engage in a rich dialogue on the novel contributions of the CBD paradigm to understanding socioeconomic development through a cultural lens.
This special session was tailored for Swansea University students with an interest in the intersections of economics, sociology, and cultural studies. The Economics Department’s Student Economic Society was specially invited to attend, fostering an engaging academic atmosphere and encouraging interdisciplinary exploration.
The event highlights the growing relevance of CBD in both research and policy, and its potential to inspire the next generation of scholars in Wales and beyond.
