This session celebrated the launch of the first comprehensive CBD book, with keynote presentations from three of the most distinguished scholars in the field of Old Institutional Economics (OIE):

• Prof. Bill Waller, Editor of the Journal of Economic Issues

• Prof. Wolfram Elsner, (among else) winner of the Veblen-Commons Award 2025, Association for Evolutionary Economics

• Prof. John B. Hall, former President of the Association for Institutional Thought (AFIT)

Their insights highlighted the theoretical richness, interdisciplinary relevance, and policy potential of the CBD paradigm within the broader tradition of institutional and evolutionary economics.

EAEPE 2025 also marked the inauguration of the Annual CBD Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of the CBD Paradigm. This new tradition celebrates individuals who have made exceptional scholarly and practical contributions to advancing CBD thinking.
